Jagged techno producer Anthony Parasole resurfaces on his own label, The Corner, with a split EP featuring two of his friends: the New York artist shares the bill with Ostgut Ton’s Marcel Dettmann and West coast colleague Silent Servant. Berlin starts the relay with the creepy pitched down vocals of an electricity supplier advert, distorting the words into absurdity under hard-hitting dissonance. Passing the baton on to Silent Servant who picks up on the eerie atmosphere and keeps us in suspense with shreds of reverberant instruments, delay effects and an indecisive rhythmical pattern. Fragments of warped spoken word turn up again in Parasole’s batting contribution, delivering the high-frequency synth drone from its unsettling duties.
