Strengthening Ubiquity’s reputation as a label dealing with worldly, eclectic sounds that you’d be hard pushed to find yourself- Baast’s roomy cocktail of visceral rhythms, sprawling electronics and swirling horns comes to life on this release. Opener Terra takes a jazz-bar freeform horn section and bolsters it up with unpolished drums and a pounding beat. The highlight of the release comes in the form of Suspension where a blissfully aimless set of instruments float in between one another for an ambient jazz masterpiece.
