Danish artist Frederik Denning makes his five-piece vinyl debut on Christian Stadsgaard’s and Loke Rahbek’s inimitable Posh Isolation label. With a track record of releases for Blodrøde Floder, Hollow Tape Editions, and the driving force of the FE Denning Descension Orchestra (Insula Music / Infinite Waves), Denning is somewhat of a celebrity amongst the local experimental underground circles. Quite rightly, as this drone become feeling of solitude in the midst of a million kindred spirits displays. Oppressive, disheartening harmonies cast off layers of illusions as they reveal their unavoidable truths: freedom of choice and its attendant responsibility, meaninglessness, isolation, death – or the existential givens of life at their most tangible.
