Arriving in the wake of their 2013 standout Colt EP, Dense & Pika return to Hotflush with the Klank EP. Continuing to flaunt their muscular sound, the Klank EP deploys a quartet of ‘floor focused ammunition, leading off with the steroidal machine jack of the title cut, closely followed by the slick dub-techno roller ‘Wandering Hands’ that’s very much from the Fachwerk school of thought. ‘Slowhand’ manages to build steady pressure before relieving the stress with its gargantuan stomp whilst the metallic ‘Slacker’ works a housier angle albeit with the signature assembly floor touches.
