Time Attendant’s debut on Exotic Pylon Records is the soundtrack to a childhood in the British countryside. Referencing his upbringing in the rural North of England, Paul Snowden sets Bloodhounds in a sonic scenery between sugar beet factories, country lanes and fishing ponds. His analogue experimental collages seem like an altered, sci-fi version of his memories. Water drops onto haunting synthesizer and untraceable glitch sounds in ‘Nettle Sting Ride’. Initially ‘Sugar Beet Perfume’ appears to have a dense, beat-based structure – before eventually scattering into an abstract fire of synths rockets. With minimal digital post-production, Time Attendant manages to maintain the radiophonic aesthetic of his utterly unique sound.
