With support from artists including Surgeon and Laurent Garnier, UK producer Simon Shreeve aka MØNIC releases a deep debut EP on his own Orisis Music imprint. Nocturnal, roughened textures build the basis for the determined beat of ‘Bloodhound’ which becomes denser the further it progresses. The rhythmic drops of ‘Viscous’ drip like rain in a narrow, stone-cold sound corridor. ‘Human Pattern’ brings together alarming synths arpeggios and trance-like string carpets, and ‘Blink’ plays with hissing hi-hats and spitting effects. The vinyl comes in a special sleeve printed on heavy 300gsm board.
