Monkeytown label heads Modeselektor maintain their lasting Modeselektion series, presenting a three part series. Part One in the series sees the German duo calling on some fresh faces that have been gaining notoriety of late for some seriously bass heavy configurations. Setting the tone is Night Slugs man L-Vis 1990 whose ‘Funk 4D’ is a quaking concoction of pummelling bass hits and moody pads whilst the next cut ‘Volumen’ sees Schlachthofbronx and Buraka Som Sistema team up for an African-styled trap excursion. On the other side, Illum Sphere dusts off the machines for an analogue workout that’s straight out of the 90’s entitled 'Bullet' and finally the off kilter, ticking bomb ‘Shift’ from French Fries.
