Luke Younger (Helm / Birds Of Prey) debuts the second LP from French avant-garde duo Opera Mort on his impressive Alter imprint. Entitled Dédales, the duo extract eight pieces from a series of improvised performances that capture their singular musical vision. From the isolated electronics of opener ‘Le Passage’ to the overdriven, fuzzy patterns and treated vocals of ‘Cérémonie Blanche’ followed by the warm, wheezing harmonies of ‘Bâillon Rose’ the pair push a sound that is distinctly their own.
