Dubstep veteran Distance checks into his own imprint Chestplate with a two-part collection of bass-heavy behemoths entitled ‘Outer Limits’. ‘Broken Dawn’ sets the mood, throwing down a deadly, rumbling underbelly and long, judgement day synth strings followed by the similarly cataclysmic ‘Andromeda’ with its doubled-up drum patterns. ‘Untouchable’ is more spacious, mixing up demonic vocal samples with skittering percussion and laser-fills whereas the more euphoric ‘System Reset’ rounds up with expansive beats and airy vocals.
