Burgeoning Berlin label Skrufix present the second single from label head Things With Wings and The Crane, collectively known as Turtlez. Picking up where their uplifting 2012 debut single ‘I Want To Fly’ left off, ‘Dream Of Heaven’ is built around an infectious gospel loop and church organ. The duo add pulsing kicks, nimble bass and squirming synths, then flip the whole thing just past the halfway point, stripping back the melodic elements and fortifying the beat with a crunchy snare and crisp hats. On ‘Smoking Buckets’, they craft a sleek wobbler out of sparse garage drums, industrial effects and an array of diced vocal samples.
