Mysterious UK production outfit Girls Of The Internet make their WNCL debut with an EP of quirky minimal techno. While close to nothing is known about this bunch, they’ve managed to craft a very consistent sonic identity with these four cheekily titled tracks. Opener ‘Prostate Exam’ thumps along hypnotically with surging bass and skittering percussion. ‘Four Pints’ shoots for straightforward acid with some nifty synth work towards the end, while slightly off micro-house tune ‘Spam Folder’ invokes prime Herbert. Closer ‘Teletherapy’ goes for a classic analogue feel, with metallic synths, a fidgety bass line and snappy drum work.
