UK indie four-piece Wild Beasts unveil their fourth album Present Tense, again on frequented outpost Domino Records. In a turn away from the huge 2011 LP Smoother, Present Tense will look to incorporate a more electronic sound, taking the most profound elements of 1980’s and 1990’s music and appropriating them for the 21st century. Lead single ‘Wanderlust’ exhibits this perfectly, dragging a gurgling, synthesised bass-line over direct drum patterns.
