Move D aka David Moufang stays busy with a tasteful entry in Fabric’s long running mix series. Known for dabbling in jazz and ambient among other styles, the selection here is a surprisingly straightforward assortment of deep house and techno, old and new. The mix’s first half is a loving homage to 90’s Chicago house, kicking off with Roy Davis Jr’s ‘Under The Sun’ and Liz Torres’s ‘Your Love Is All I Need’, and ending with funky, disco-influenced gems from Earl Jeffers, Darkman and K-Alexi. The second half, featuring tracks from newer artists like Last Magpie and Christo, frequent collaborators Juju & Jordash and Move D himself, is no less soulful or danceable.
