Kouhei Matsunaga’s popular ‘Dance Classics’ series returns to Bill Kouligas’ formidable PAN imprint for its third instalment, with no discernible drop in quality. Alternations between Matsunaga’s beloved hip-hop and techno templates remain the bedrock of the LP, with ‘768’ a squashed acid romp and ‘766’ an impressive extended workout rare in the Nhk’Koyxen output to date. Once more though, it’s the producers attention to detail which makes it much more than merely an LP of dance-floor tools, with crisp glitches powering ‘762’ and the fractured hip-hop percussion in interlude in ‘675’ a particular delight.
