Farah (formerly Darling Farah) releases his latest for Semtek's Don't Be Afraid, and it makes for one of the most interesting experimentations in techno and the darker side of house that the label have ever put out. Opening track 'Cloudy Apple' shoots off on a blackly palpitating bass-line while shards of chewed up noise and grainy drums snap and crackle throughout. 'Speak On The Spotlight' carries more of a UK bass influence in its faraway vocal samples and layers of climbing greyscale synths. 'Humming' and 'Pieced Apart' are monolithic and weighty soundscapes, while 'Lockhead' provides a spiky and damaged riff on taut funk.
