UK label Rekids has set for themselves a rather interesting mission. The Us Vs. Them series features five archive-spanning selections, each dedicated to a different region. Leading off the French leg of the world tour is Rob Mello’s sleazy, saucy Franco-dialogue sampling remix of ‘Hot Beef’. Paris DJ Alexkid contributes twice: the trance-inducing ‘Mousseur’ and a thumping remix of Nina Kraviz's ‘Pain In The Ass’. I:Cube’s ‘Don’t Fight The Feeling’ tones down the funk of the Toby Tobias original and focuses on the kaleidoscopic synths, while Molly very soundly wraps the selection with a tropical take of Radio Slave’s ‘Loose Joint’.
