Swedish sound and recording artist BJ Nilsen readies ‘Eye Of The Microphone’, a detailed piece of field recording that captures the aural experience of London. Through tireless walks and recording of the UK’s capital, Nilsen combines fragments obvious to anyone native of the city with other smaller details that are less conspicuous. On 'Londinium' the roar of a black cab reverberates against Westminster’s distinctive church bells. 'Coins And Bells' and 'Twenty Four Seven' are antipodal in the fact that the former explores the harsh drones of day-to-day city life whilst the latter exposes the natural elements that are often overlooked.
