US label Addictech compile a double LP of hi-tech dance experiments from Si Begg, united by a partiality for glossy wobble. On ‘From My Laptop’ high fidelity cartoon jacking trades off with ring-modulated bass throbs, while ‘Kosmiche Stepper’ gives a main room half-stepper an unexpected Krautrock sheen. ‘Let’s Roll’ recedes from its opening dubstep swagger into the pomp of Holst’s ‘Mars’ from ‘the Planets’ before jamming them both together with the kind of overt showmanship which dominates proceedings from start to finish.
