The second release from Larry Heard under his Mr. Fingers moniker remains one of house music’s high points. When it dropped in 1986, the Washing Machine EP brought forth a sound that simply hadn’t been heard before. In particular the combination of boinging bass and deep synth chords in ‘Can You Feel It’ is a triumph of minimal club composition. These tunes have been causing epiphanies on the dancefloor for decades now, and we wager that they’ll keep doing so for many years to come.
