Brooklyn synthpoppers Alex Frankel and Nick Millhiser follow up their 2011 debut with this funky new single. ‘Dumb Disco Ideas’ is an eight-minute belter that takes jiving bass, a marching beat and a guitar line borrowed from Stevie Wonder’s ‘Superstition’, all set to the band’s signature vocals (“Cool summer/Like your mother!”) Like LCD Soundsystem in a cooler cat-suit, it exudes sexiness and should get dance floors grinding.
