Hannah Diamond presents a crystallisation of PC Music’s reign with her second album Perfect Picture. Musing on the intersection of her photography and music careers, as well as tumultuous love lives and all things digital, Diamond pens heartfelt messages through clever tongue in cheek pop dialogues, wrapped up in sugary synthpop surges. Huge gated snares crash down on ‘Impossible’, with even huger, glitzy trance synths underlining subtly digitised vocals and serrated basslines, combining introspective lyrics with overdriven EDM in a dance pop vision that could only come from the PC Music crew.
