Cease & Resist - Sonic Subversion & Anarcho Punk In The UK 1979-1986 is both a catalogue of extreme music and a catalyst for radical social change. Compiled in support of the Faslane Peace Camp, all proceeds from this compilation will support protest efforts against Glawgow’s Faslane Naval Base and its nuclear arsenal that have been ongoing since 1982. Anarcho-punk casts a wide net and so does Cease & Resit, folding in the militant punk of scene luminaries like Crass and Poison Girls, the demented synth stylings of Hit Parade, and all out noise like Annie Anxiety. Call it a venture to the past archives to help support a better future.
