Strange and freaked out synth pop ballads / ‘motorik psychedelia’ from the lovely Jane Weaver. The English folklorist seems to channel the best bits of Heldon, Miss Kittin and Portishead all in one intense three track EP for Fire. Finders Keepers head record fiend Andy Votel turns his hand to ‘The Architect’ to deliver a seriously wiggy club ready version for anyone who doubted the original. It’s subtle but the level of production is top notch. The three minute ‘Code’ is a ghostly, pastoral folk endeavour whilst ‘Element’ closes the record with that classic krautrock rhythm (‘Hallogallo’, anyone?)
