Berlin experimental imprint PAN is back with a shadowy new release entitled BEG 4 MERCY from Honour. Everything about this release is shrouded in mystery, from the blurry bedside table spread album cover to the suspicious lack of liner notes. As for the music, it punches its weight with any of the PAN classics, ‘2Yung2Die (Moon Mix)’ brilliantly packs some spooky movie horror sound design against syncopated head-knocking kicks, while the closing ‘SHINA’S SYNDROME’ sounds like a long lost industrial era banger with all the low end scooped out with a rusty knife.
