Experimental electronic musician Florian Hecker's early album Sun Pandämonium - originally released on the influential Mego label - is here re-released through Pan. The album is a challenging but rewarding foray into a haunting tableau of organically twisting and evolving digital noise. The centrepiece of the work is the epic 22 minute long 'Stocha Acid Zlook'. It's spluttering and piercing dial-up modem noises resemble the cries of wild animals, and it evokes images of a psychedelic journey into the depths of an electronic jungle. The rest of the album keeps up the same heady and intense atmosphere while remaining more economical in terms of track length.
