Warp's first ever 'guitar-playing' signing make a welcome return with this, their self-titled, second album for the label. Applying less of their signature 'shoegaze' aesthetic, the addition of Boredoms drummer E-da and electronic musician Shigeru Ishihara in the line-up, has given this album much more of a palpable feel than earlier releases on Warp and Too Pure. An invigorating return.
