Jay Duncan and Ben Vince serve up two tracks for Erol Alkan’s mighty Phantasy Sound, coming complete with an extra special Ricardo Villalobos remix. ‘In Limbo’ is a percussive broken techno with ghostly atmospherics, with Vince’s saxophone skewed into an otherworldly presence in a similar manner to the Hessle Audio collab he penned with Joy O. Anti-Purgatorio is a greyscale interpretation of recent UK bass syncopations, a techy headnod in the same vein as the new school Bristolian crop of artists like Hodge or Batu. Villalobos provides a remix in his classic format - fourteen minutes of deep, twitchy and psychedelic minimal.
