2006’s Silent Shout made for more dimly lit, shadowy corners where ‘Deep Cuts’ was aimed at the dance floor with eccentric, pop charm and accelerated energy. The album finds the Swedish brother and sister duo honing in on darkened atmospherics, ‘Neverland’ - a rush to the head of synths and frenzied percussion, and ‘We Share Our Mother’s Health’- a bracing cut of creepy dissonance, Karin Dreijer Andersson’s vocals in strident form.
