The first release from Maga Circe Musica, a new label endeavour between Donato Dozzy and Alicia Carrera. Perhaps best known for his nuanced takes on the more minimalist end of techno, Buchla & Marimba sees Dozzy man the modular while Daniele Di Gregorio provides marimba and vibraphone. The result is one of patiently probing electro-acoustic exploration, with Dozzy’s subtly scuffed drums and low end providing the framework on which the instruments wander.
