Sax player Binker Golding, along with his new group consisting of double bassist John Edwards and drummer Steve Noble, return for some more contained chaos on Byrd Out with a sly jazz-fuelled exploration of post-truth society. Moon Day takes the first major moon conspiracy of 1835 as a launch pad for freewheeling jazz. The result is as stellar as you'd expect, full of skittering hits, out-there licks and an all-together vibe of a future free jazz classic.
