More than two decades on from the release of the first installment, Kompakt Records bring up twenty editions of their Kompakt: Total compilation series. As one has come to expect from the Kompakt: Total drops, this bumper collection features tech-house and techno tunes from the great and good of the legendary German label’s roster. Seasoned veterans such as Robag Wruhme, Michael Mayer, Kölsch, Voigt & Voigt and plenty others besides all offer up atmospheric DJ tools which balance crisp beats with evocative, dubbed-out textures. However, the old guard are given a run for their money here by strong showings from newcomers such as Kiwi.
