Producer (Ola) Obergman and the Stilleben label are two parties you can rely on when it comes to top-quality electro, so it makes sense for them to pair up for the former’s new EP Pyroclastic Flow. The motorik, slightly Italo-indebted tracks here have one thinking of turn-of-the-century work from Legowelt and The Hacker. ‘Olympus Mons’, with its squelchier bass tones and more dystopian synth pads, is the outlier on Pyroclastic Flow.
