Midwestern club functions warped by the sands of time from Jordan Zawideh here. To all intents and purposes the tracks of Ce Es Music are rattling Chicago house tunes in the time-honoured tradition of Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson et al. However, there is a slightly offbeat vibe to Zawideh’s productions too - hear how samples and voices are curiously muffled on cuts such as ‘In A Dream’. These quirks have one thinking of Beau Wanzer and Delroy Edwards.
