The fruitful relationship between Bit-Tuner and -ous Records continues with the artist’s latest LP Exo. This collection pares back somewhat from Bit-Tuner’s previous -ous drops Arabian Nights and A Bit Of Light. A predominantly beatless affair, Exo’s tracks drift mournfully out of the speakers, their synths and keyboards hanging heavy like thick fog. Given the distinct cyberpunk air that characterises cuts like ‘Passage’ it’s easy to discern Vangelis and Daniel Lopatin as touchstones for the Exo experience.
