It won’t surprise you to find out that Don’t Be Afraid’s new signing Kerrie has previously released via I Love Acid - the Before Calm EP is full of the sort of brain-bending 303 bangers that the Balkan Vinyl sub-label have built their house on. These tracks all march on at around 130bpm, sousing their delirious acid grooves in all manner of leftfield sound effects. Cuts like ‘Before Calm’ and ‘Curveball’ have a bit of a freakbeat thing going on too.
