Well, this is an unexpected surprise. After the death of Telefon Tel Aviv’s founding member Charles Cooper in 2009 it looked unlikely as to whether the project would ever make another record again. However, Joshua Eustis now reboots Telefon Tel Aviv for Dreams Are Not Enough, a set of wistful productions whose primary influences appear to be electronic R ‘n’ B and IDM (and techno on cuts like ‘not breathing,’). The first artist that springs to mind when listening to Dreams Are Not Enough is Dirty Projectors.
