The second of Telephones’ From The Vaults EPs arrives courtesy of his own European Carryall imprint. As it was with the first From The Vaults installment, Volume 2 sees Henning Severud unearthing some material from his fledgling days. The tracks here were all conceived around the turn of the millennium, though they’ve been given a going-over to get them up to contemporary Telephones standard. This is another set of groovy, slightly jazz-tinged techno that occasionally shows off a Balearic influence. You can tell a cut like ‘Nation Of Rhythms (MS-DOS Mix)’ dates from around the same time as Moodymann’s first golden age.
