Are You A Dreamer?, the latest LP from Malmö’s Death And Vanilla, finds the group coming through with another set of hypnagogic psych-pop delights. As is often the case with Death And Vanilla there is a strong flavour of Stereolab to this record. Tracks like ‘Nothing Is Real’ and ‘A Flaw In The Iris’ swirl up chic 60’s and 70’s influences (from both popular and film music) with a dose of rose-tinted hyper-realism. The resulting sounds will have you giving a strong affirmative response to the question posed by the album’s title.
