Literon’s 2006 EP Machines is given a re-press through its original home of Fortek. The three ‘Machines’ here are mucky techno and house tunes with shades of acid and golden-age Detroit to them. ‘1’ and ‘3’ both incorporate a little garage shuffle into their grooves, while ‘2’ plays it straight. This reissue of Literon’s Machines feels timely given the resurgence of lo-fi aesthetics and retro rave sounds currently being scene on the world’s dancefloors.
