Composer Clint Mansell (Black Swan, Ghost In The Shell) has his score for Ben Wheatley’s Happy New Year, Colin Burstead released by Invada. The music Mansell has come up with here represents something of a stylistic left-turn. In particular, Mansell’s inclusion of a large range of Celtic influences gives these impressionistic instrumentals a rather stately feel. There is also, in the form of ‘[exeunt]’, a tender piece of neo-classical piano composition reminiscent of Ryuichi Sakamoto and Michael Nyman.
