The second part of Gerd’s Planet F.M.D.X. series arrives through Clone Royal Oak. As it was the first time around, this EP sees Gerd tooling four more deep house wedges from his Yamaha DX100 synthesiser. These tracks also work with the same sound palette as Planet F.M.D.X. Part 1. This means that buoyant basslines and clattering drum machines are offset by synth chords pitched somewhere between classic Detroit and The Orb’s ambient house - the result of which means that tunes like ‘Black Moon Voyage’ or ‘Lost Android’ recall Arnaldo.
