As well as turning in a remix for Steevio and helming the release of the first LP by his Timedance label (a killer compilation entitled Patina Echoes - go check ASAP) in the past couple of weeks, Batu joins the likes of Dark0 and Overmono on the club wing of the prestigious XL. Rebuilt, his debut EP for the label shows that he’s more than capable of keeping pace with those acts. Rebuilt contains four tracks of his trademark soundsystem techno while also showing off hitherto unseen influences from jungle and grime.
