An early affiliate of Jon Rust’s Levels imprint, Lord Tusk is one of those London producers who we’ve kept an eye on since hearing him debut five or so years back. Here we have five new tracks for the MIC label, an interesting world where the Glaswegian technoid-dancehall of LAPS rubs shoulders with early 80s tape demos from the legendary Sun Palace. Each of these cuts are noteworthy but it’s the A1 lead ‘Shyne Eyed Gal’ that’s sounding sweetest to our ears right now. Slow tempo, almost balearic style MPC house!
