First surfacing around Halloween 2017, Endgame’s Consumed tape gets an official release via Bala Club. Like fellow Bala Club members Kamixlo and Uli K - the latter of which guests on ‘Caravana De La Muerte’ - Endgame’s sound is a visceral mangling of club styles. Taking reggaeton as the starting point, everything from grime to Flex to nu-metal is swirled up in the vortex of Consumed. The likes of ‘Skull Riddim’ and ‘Severed’ are so noisy as to border on industrial music; ‘Forsaken’ is a mutated strain of ‘One Dance’-style bashment; the Rulez-featuring ‘Reina’ could have cropped up on a Future Brown album. This is an arresting listen.
