Ever the futurists, Steve Goodman’s Hyperdub imprint tap up one of the most fascinating and ground breaking club focused producers in Endgame. Vaguely using dancehall as a template for arranging many of his tracks, the clear difference being the icy sound palette called upon to colour in the space left by the simply CLATTERING basslines. Endgame’s redux of Dizzee’s famed ‘Sittin Here’ brings a modern twist to the over policed paranoia presented in the original, while ‘Fellony Riddim’ comes equipped with icy chords, insistently booming bass and splattering percussive elements. ‘Fallen’, featuring the auto-tuned vocals of Organ tapes is the most mellow of the bunch and even that has a bit of a bite to it.
