Parisian sound artist and field recorder Pali Meursault collaborates with serial avant-gardist Stephen O’Malley and Bear Bones, Lay Low etc for a bona fide future floatation tank ambient classic. He manipulates natural sound recordings and playfully arranges them alongside impressionist electronic sounds from a range of artists inc. Laura Vasquez. Perhaps it’s a cliché to call such a thing psychedelic, or maybe a little too easy, but the result is a pretty immersive fluctuation of bells, wind instruments, synth motifs and generally hard-to-place sources alongside all the bird whistles you could ever wish for.
