As much as this love affair with outsider pop remains a core element of the label, mainstream acclaim seems never too far away, as TNGHT’s comeback in 2019 after seven years away, was stymied by Covid-19 preventing that all-important tour for their second EP, II. Considering the live-focus of the project, it’s no surprise the comeback remains on pause until it’s safe to resume.

Where some artists and labels might have found ways to tour through the pandemic regardless, TNGHT and LuckyMe have not. And this grounded nature is a thread running through the day to day operations as well. Now based in Edinburgh and London, the small team prides itself on its strong, personal relationships with its artists. The tight-knit core crew remains in place, but they maintain an openness to welcoming new people into the fold to help shape the label. There are no barriers up as such, but one would have to work hard and be consistently turning out quality work to get on their radar.

Now in their second decade, they continue to release 'emerging folk music' from around the globe, even while the 'Planet's Mad'.
