Spectrum Spools provided me (and the rest of the world) with a great service in re-issuing this hugely inspirational and important record, deserves to be just as well regarded as Reich’s Music For 18 Musicians.
Exceptionally recorded album of funeral drone. Doom, despair, decay, dread & death, this album contains all these D-words and possibly more.
A lovely record from an extremely talented man who looks to finally be getting the recognition he deserves.
Another astonishing release from one of the strongest labels around, nobody does sound production better than the Subtext crew and Joshua has just raised their game again.
This is just so damn good. Minimalist acoustic techno played by a jazz trio. A very addictive record that makes it hard to step away and listen to anything else.
I can just about get authentic sounding goat sounds from my modular system, Aaron probably can as well but instead he chooses to make albums as joyous as this. This might well be my favourite record of his.
Clemens is a fantastic guy making fantastic music, one of my favourite LuckyMe artists. Hoping to see more music from him this year.
TTT are the most thrilling live band around right now, I've seen them a bunch of times over the years but their last show was exceptional. The early EPs still contain some of their best work.
An immensely powerful and heavy ambient record, mind pummeling.
I joined American Men after Cool World was completed and thus cant take any credit for the magic that lies within. The HudMo remix of AM System is also an absolute beast. One day there might be a follow up to this but the way the world is going, I wouldn't count on it.
