The top tracks on Bleep, as selected by Donato Epiro.
I have started to buy everything from Northern Electronic. I really dig the mix of sounds the label moves, with the deeply hypnotic sound of Abdulla Rashim without any doubt one of highlights from the catalogue.
I totally fell in love with the work of Rashad after seeing him perform live. it's impressive how he lets the sounds grow to become a symphony built on a new language of rhythm, melody and harmony.
Recorded using only an Ondes Martenot and an old harmonium, this album reminds me ancient sacred chants and at the same time sci fi atmospheres. Wonderful.
I love the way Josh works with field recordings and analogue processing. Its all so subtle and elegant.
Starting from the cover, this has been one of my favourite releases from 2016. It's possible I'm the only one that feels a black metal vibe to it, but the goat could be a clue. So intense.
An uncompromising, radical and violent album. Brinkamnn transposes binary codes into the sound of a grand piano and the extreme possilbilities.
Distant from the meditative minimalsm of his masterwork Canti Illuminati, this Curran work is so "concrete" and terrestrial. He is always our Maestro.
New age, exotism, ethinic percussion, space missions, voices from lost tapes, all mixed with house/dub drum machines, deep basslines and synthetizers. It's all I need.
My favorite project from Dominick Fernow. Slow rhythmic pattern, deep basses, smell of umidity and a dangerous sense of Nature. The perfect score for a Heart of Darkness.
Thanks to this reissue I finally got this record. Desert ballrooms, haunted music able to remind you your past lives.
