In November 2018 Bleep took over an unoccupied nail salon in the heart of Dalston, London. Converting it into a temporary record store for 3 months, the 1200 square foot space offered a wide range of music, merch, books, prints and hardware from the online store.

Over the 3 months we held 45 events and partnered with The Wire magazine, NTS Radio, Brainfeeder, Resident Advisor and Aphex Twin. These included exclusive items only available in store, upfront copies and special events and DJ sets.
Labels such as Melodies International, Houndstooth, Hessle Audio, Whities, Mute, Smalltown Supersound, FireScope, Hyperdub, Brownswood, Erased Tapes, Ninjatune, R&S, Eglo and Warp were enlisted for DJ and live sets.
We hosted live shows including an intimate performance by Tirzah, a modular set by Chris Carter, two hours of prime time Modeselektor, recent Hessle Audio signing Shelley Parker, Bad Taste Records' Lord Apex, Brainfeeder artists Lapalux , Dorian Concept, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Ross From Friends, the elite ensemble the Rolling Calf Trio, Peder Mannerfelt and Par Grindvik’s Aasthma project featuring vocals from Peneloppe Trappes and Dale Cornish, Brownswood’s Skinny Pelembe, Erased Tapes Hatis Noit and Eglo Records' Fatima + lots more.
We also held a range of talks hosted by The Wire and Resident Advisor, including Steve Rutter (B12) discussing his seminal albums recently reissued on Warp, Shabaka Hutchings on the current Jazz scene, Nkisi on her recent album on Lee Gamble's UIQ label, Benji B on soundsystem and radio culture in London, Ian Anderson (The Designers Republic) and Trevor Jackson on graphic design on album covers and posters, invisible jukebox sessions with Mike Paradinas and Lara Rix-Martin, an Autechre remix primer with Keith Moliné (Pere Ubu) plus we had our favourite man of laughter Laraaji talking about his meditation methods and music production.
